LiftMaster (and its sister consumer brand Chamberlain) builds its smart features around its own myQ app and also makes wall-mount (jackshaft) openers. Genie wins on price-per-feature, simpler installation, and quieter low-end models. Both are good choices for a typical Massachusetts home.
